Korean Beef Bowl


  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup liquid aminos (or soy sauce)
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
  • salt & pepper to taste

suggested toppings – fried egg, shaved carrots, kimchi, mushrooms, sriracha 


  1. Brown ground beef in sesame oil. Add garlic and saute for 3-5 minutes. Drain fat & set aside
  2. In a separate bowl, combine sugar, soy sauce, and red pepper. Add to ground beef. Simmer 4-5 minutes, then add salt and pepper to taste
  3. Serve over steamed rice and with suggested toppings
