Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf


  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • bacon
  • 3/4 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp chopped onion

Optional toppings: ketchup or bbq sauce
Optional add ins: mushrooms, spinach, cheese



  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Mix beef, bread crumbs, egg, basil, thyme, garlic, and onion
  3. Line the bottom of a loaf pan in a criss cross pattern (see picture below)
  4. Lay beef mixture in pan & wrap in bacon

5. Brush with ketchup or bbq sauce
6. Bake for 60 minutes

Meat taking too long to cook? Tip: Spread your loaf thinner and/or pierce with a knife before baking to allow for heat to flow through easier.
